General Directions

We are on the ground floor of Grosvenor House. Downcast Way is effectively the name of the car park, and is off Shearer Way (second on your right). This is reached via the dual carriageway Tallyman Way which is off Agecroft Road. Despite appearances on some maps, vehicles cannot get onto Shearer Way directly from Agecroft Road.

Travelling from the M60 - Junction 17

  • When exiting the M60 at junction 17, head towards Manchester
  • Once onto A56 Bury New Road, Tesco & TGI Fridays should be on your right
  • Continue straight ahead down A56 Bury New Road
  • Turn right onto A6044 Hilton Lane, signed Swinton
  • Continue straight ahead down the hill until you approach a mini-roundabout
  • Take the second exit, which takes you straight across the roundabout
  • Continue straight ahead until you reach a second roundabout
  • Take the second exit, onto Agecroft Road
  • Continue straight ahead through some traffic lights until you reach a third roundabout
  • Take the first exit (effectively turn left); continue ahead until you reach a fourth roundabout
  • Turn right, follow the road signed Enterprise Park
  • Take the second right; you have arrived at Grosvenor House Car Park
  • Grosvenor Media is on the left-hand side of the building, on the ground floor.

Travelling from the M61

  • Exit onto slip-road (Junction 2)
  • Continue straight ahead onto A580 East Lancashire Road
  • Continue Straight down A580 East Lancashire Road through 4 sets of traffic lights
  • Just after the fourth set of traffic lights, take the first exit on the left that leads to the A666
  • You will be approaching a give way, so keep to the right-hand side
  • Follow the road for the A666 that is to the right
  • Continue Straight ahead but keep to the left-hand side, you should approach a roundabout
  • Take the first exit, which would be left onto A666 Bolton Road
  • Follow directions from A666 Bolton Road (heading towards Bolton) below

Travelling from the M602 via M60

  • Continue straight ahead down the M602
  • Exit onto slip-road at Junction 2
  • You will approach a roundabout; take the first exit onto the A576 Eccles Old Road
  • Continue straight ahead until reach a set of traffic lights with The Hope pub on left-hand side
  • Turn left at the lights onto A5185 Lancaster Road
  • Continue straight to the top of the road, you should reach a set of traffic lights
  • Turn right at the lights onto A580 East Lancashire Road
  • Take the first exit on the left, so keep to the left-hand side
  • You will be approaching a give way, so keep to the right-hand side
  • Follow the road for the A666 that is to the right
  • Continue Straight ahead but keep to the left-hand side, you should approach a roundabout
  • Take the first exit, which would be left onto A666 Bolton Road
  • Follow instructions from A666 Bolton Road (heading towards Bolton) below

Travelling from Trafford Road

  • Continue straight to the top Trafford Road towards the M602 motorway, until you reach the main set of traffic lights
  • Turn left onto A57 Eccles New Road
  • Continue straight ahead until you reach a set of traffic lights
  • Turn right onto A5186 Langworthy Road
  • Continue straight ahead all the way to the top, you should reach a roundabout
  • Continue straight across, it will bring you onto a slip-road that leads to A6 Broad Street
  • Continue down the A6 Broad Street, keep to the left-hand side
  • Take the first exit, which is a slip-road this leads up to a roundabout
  • Take the third exit, which leads onto the A666 Bolton Road
  • Follow instructions from A666 Bolton Road (heading towards Bolton) below

Travelling from A57 Regent Road

  • When on the A57 Regent Road keep to the right-hand side
  • Continue straight ahead you see the Shell Petrol Station on the left and Sainsbury's on the right
  • You should reach a set of traffic lights
  • Turn right onto A5066 Oldfield Road; continue straight through the first set of traffic lights
  • You should be approaching the second set of traffic lights
  • Turn left at the traffic lights onto A6 Crescent
  • Continue straight ahead down the A6 Crescent
  • Follow instructions from A6 Crescent below

Travelling from Manchester

  • When on the A6 Chapel Street, the road quickly becomes the A6 Crescent
  • Follow instructions from A6 Crescent below

Travelling from A6 Crescent

  • You should pass Salford University on your right
  • Continue straight ahead down the A6 Crescent, which becomes A6 Broad Street
  • You should pass McDonald's on your left
  • Continue straight ahead down the underpass on the A6 Broad Street
  • Continue down the A6 Broad Street, but keep to the left-hand side
  • Take the exit that is sign-posted for the A666 Bolton Road
  • ...which is a slip-road; this leads up to a roundabout
  • Take the third exit, which leads onto the A666 Bolton Road

  • Continue straight ahead down A666 Bolton Road

  • Take the third exit (effectively turn right), continue ahead until you reach a second roundabout

You can save a modest amount of mileage by getting dropped off at the nearby layby/bus-stop on Agecroft Road at the end of Shearer Way. Bus

The number 484 stops on Agecroft Road very near to our offices. However, we are only a short walk from the more frequent number 8. If travelling by the 8, get off either at the Henry Boddington pub (Bolton-Manchester) or Millercare (Manchester-Bolton) and walk down Agecroft Road.

Train

The nearest train station is Swinton. The nearest major train station is Salford Crescent. From either, your journey is best completed by taxi or bus - from Salford Crescent number 8, from Swinton number 484.
